Are you working on letters with your preschoolers Lucky Letters St. Patrick's Day ABC Game

Leprechaun Letter Recognition Game

I suggest printing the game boards on regular printer paper so kids can color the shamrocks. Or, you could laminate them and use small counters (buttons, erasers, etc.) to cover the shamrocks instead of coloring them.  Print the leprechaun cards on cardstock and laminate for durability. Then, cut the letter cards apart. That's it! You're all set for some Lucky Letters fun.

Choose a game board - uppercase or lowercase - and the corresponding leprechaun cards. Turn the leprechaun cards face down.

Have preschoolers choose a leprechaun card and name the featured letter. Ask them to find the matching letter on the game board and color or cover it. Then, have them say it's sound.

Continue in this manner until all of the shamrocks have been colored or covered.

You can mix things up once your kids are comfortable with this basic game. Give kids a game board and the opposite set of letter cards. This will help them match uppercase and lowercase letters. You could also have them put the cards in ABC order before searching for the matching shamrocks on the game board.

There are many ways to use these cards and game boards. And, all of them are perfect for the month of March!
