Earth Q-Tip Painting Free Printable

Q-Tip painting is a fun and challenging fine motor activity for kids. Since my daughter loved the Christmas and Valentine's Day Q-tip painting printables, I created one in celebration of Earth Day. This is a great way to spark discussions about geography, science and nature while painting in a unique way!

To make it especially fun, we use Safari Ltd TOOB figurines and match them to the picture cards. Affiliate links provided for your convenience.

Learning about famous world landmarks is a fun geography and social studies lesson for kid World Landmarks 3-Part Cards and Matching with Safari Toob

For this activity we used two sets of Safari Ltd TOOB - Around the World (set of 10) and World Landmarks (set of 7).

We printed the sheets of 3-Part Cards (17 in total) but didn't cut the cards out. My daughter matched the object to the picture by placing each one directly on top of the pictures.

If you don't have the TOOB sets you can still use the 3-Part cards.

How to Use 3-Part Cards

Print out 2 copies of each sheet. Cut out the cards from one copy, keeping the name on each card. The second copy gets cut where the images and names are separate. Now you have 3 cards for each landmark:

1 - the control cards which have the image and name
2 - image cards
3 - name cards

Depending on your child's age and skill level, they can match the images to the control card, or the names, or both.

For younger children and toddlers, I recommend that you laminate this activity in order to make it reusable.

For scissor skills practice, children can cut out the continents and glue them in their correct location.
