Bug Letter Dot Marker Coloring Pages

Who's enjoying the Spring weather? We love Spring since it means all of the bugs come up and my kids love to follow those amazing creatures around to find their homes. My daughter enjoys using dot markers to color and she tries very hard to get it right in the center which is fun to watch.

Bugs each have their own special characteristics and they each have their own amazing adaptations to nature. You can discuss their diet and habitats as you find them on your walks outdoors or as they're playing in your backyards. They're everywhere and it's great to use them to explore science and nature a bit more. Bug lovers will be so happy with these coloring pages. For those like my daughter, who don't love bugs, she did enjoy the ladybug printable and that was it, LOL.

Print the sheets out onto paper and have your child color them with dot markers or bingo dabbers. They can also write in the name of the bug underneath. If you'd like to use them again, place them in page protectors. You can then use blocks, pom poms to color in the bugs and then you can write in a dry/wet erase marker. Wipe it clean when you're done.

To extend this activity, read your favorite bug books and create your own bugs out of the recyclable items in your home. My kids love to create and build so we have a box of junk that they are free to craft with to their heart's content. It's a great way to use up the stuff that would end up in the garbage and I don't have to shop for supplies.
